Review – Ride with the Devil

Needed way more devil. Despite the horror movie title, this is a tedious drama about the rough lives of Confederate bushwhackers. Though not quite as badly bewildered as Josey Wales about the overall morality of the War Between the States, it still liberally indulges in the Union-bad-slave-states-good ethos. Every once in awhile the production conjures something of historical interest, such as the reenactment of Quantrill’s raid on Lawrence.
